Hi Everyone:
This forum has potential. I found a link to here from the FerFAL blog, which I found the other day after JW Rawles mentioned FerFAL in the Coast-to-Coast broadcast/YouTube post. I am comforted by the fact that a jarhead is the top poster on this forum.
I am fairly new to the prep/survival movement, but not the GTA mindset. About me: I was a US Marine (active and reserve) for over 25 years and have seen the world, been there, done that and got the t-shirt. Having a personal awareness of the huge differences in lifestyles across the globe gives one an edge in the GTA mindset. I have always said that civilization is fragile, but never seriously thought it would be threatened in the USA… until the second half of 2008. Now I am actively preparing for a variety of worst case scenarios.
I look forward to sharing ideas… after I figure out how to navigate this new forum.
All best,
Floridian

Hope you find it helpful. It does have a lot of potential and I'm hoping men like you will contribute as things head south. The more eyes and ears we have out there the better chance we have.

Welcome to the forum………….

LOOK: Start to get wrapped around the idea that it was over in the Fall of 2008. This is just the dying quivers. Stop waiting for "IT" to happen, "IT" already happened.

Hey Floridian,
I see that you sign your posts with the weblink to the 'freestateproject'. I looked at that website about 10 years ago when they were promoting 50,000 members to commit to move there if they ever reached that number. They've lowered that to 20,000 now; but, anyway..I like FerFal's suggestion of moving to another country or even another continent if the local situation gets too bad. I've always thought that once the US goes down the tubes, there won't be many places left to go and that our best situation would be to stay here in the US and try to turn things around. I think a move to New Hampshire (to other readers: home of the free state project) would probably be better than trying to bug out of the US. Is that what you intend on doing?
