Not exactly getting started with prepping….read Atlas Shrugged back in 1989 and knew that if the world culture continued on its path back then, civilization was heading off a cliff. Would like to think that it's not too late; but, I always see things continuing to get worse. I follow Ayn Rand's ideas quite avidly, wouldn't say I'm an 'objectivist'; definitly more of the Libertarian stripe. If anyone is a little confused as to what I'm referring to, I'd be more than happy to expound (explain, expand, whatever works). Anyway, I live in Southeastern Ohio and consider it as good as any a place to hold out for the long haul if/when the SHTF. I also follow Eric DeCarbonnel's 'marketskeptics.com' website to get an excellant analysis as to where the US economy is heading; and, needless to say, the powers that be have stretched the value of the dollar to its very end. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a pessimist, nor an optimist: I like to consider myself a realist. My friends don't see me that way because they think I always talk doom and gloom….they just don't get it, poor sobs!!! Anyway, you all should be hearing from me frequently. Take care.
