Is everyone at the "other" site? Or just busy?

I've been wondering the same thing. Quick someone start a new topic before this place dies.
I don't go to the "other site" any more. It's pretty much crap.
How about a roll call of those left?

I've been really busy…that garden of mine has really kicked my a$$! Football season too. But on a darker side, things are coming to a head really fast. Planning, prepping, evaluating, testing…all this for a calamity that's about to come motivates me to get online and see what everyone else is saying and doing but now that it's actually here, right at the doorstep: it's had a very somber effect on my mood. Here's to Sourdough!! Unless we keep him updated, when it all comes down, he'll never know it happened!!

I decided to spend less time on forums and more time on prepping. This economic crisis isn't going to blow over anytime soon (my conclusion) and is likely to get far worse (also my conclusion).
Like the Great Depression of the 1930s and the Stagflation of the 1970s, government is responding by continually throwing money at the problem and hoping some of it works its magic. I would rather take matters into my own hands by taking charge of my own economic future.
For the best job security, maybe I should consider becoming a plumber.

How will he know then? It could be an illusion or a figment of our imaginations…….or his.

Just got back from 4 days of camping. I was hoping to add a 2 more days but I had a CIDP flair and had to come home but some good news for the RV and some bad news as well. I can get 10 days use out of my propane tank, and 5 days for my water and waste water tanks. It looks like I need replacement batteries for the coach section, I'll check the water and try charging again and hope it's just Operator Headspace error. If I have to replace the batteries I'll go for the gel-packed kind. The awning is broken and it looks like a complete replacement. I can't complain as it is over 35 years old. Sportsmans guide has a Cabana system for under $600.00 that looks like a great substitute for about the same price as a replacement awning and I can add more living space to my RV. Plus the critters would love the extra room.
I did really good on gas around 10 MPG on that 1976 460 Ford motor.
I think my cat has forgiven me for taking her along and she did a lot better on the ride home this time. Even the dogs did okay on the ride home. I need to do a few little trips to get them used to the RV

I'm here on stand-by waiting for a good topic to jump on.
Where is EN and Indiucky, both were good posters.
By the way I saw a video of a Pizza place armed robbery by 2 guys. One had a revolver and the other what looked like a sawed-off rifle or shotgun. It made me re-think my idea of getting a snub nose (yes, I'm still not carrying). I thought if I had been sitting in there I may have just handed the wallet along with the snub revolver . Five little bullets, out of a little guns does not seem like much against multiple opponents, even if they're armed with junk guns.

Hey Gallo–remember , it's not how big your gun is, it's how you use it!!
Five rounds, two opponents. This means you'd have three rounds back up.

I have been taught that your best fight is the one you avoid…. which is USUALLY a good choice.
So if scum have weapons at the ready and only want money just give it to them mmhmmm.
If it appears to be more serious than a simple robbery and all you have is a 5 shot snubby…… the first round better go off when the barrel is as close to the brain stem of bad guy #1 as possible.
I remember reading about an off duty cop carrying a .25 who killed 2 gang-bangers (armed with 9mm's) who walked into and started shooting up a club his wife was working in. He drew his puny .25 and charged them without firing until he could place the muzzle to their heads…. yeah he got shot-up bad, but in this instance he lived and the 2 punks with 9mm's died.

LOOK: Start to get wrapped around the idea that it was over in the Fall of 2008. This is just the dying quivers. Stop waiting for "IT" to happen, "IT" already happened.

Well, I'm glad to hear everyone's well. Mrs. PM and I have been playing catch up since the begining of the year. And getting behind. We lost one of our horses about a week ago. The one that actually LIKED to drive.

OK GTA members, this forum is still sucking pretty bad. So I hereby commission everyone with the responsibility to open a thread that will generate at least 20 responses. This includes you as well, Sourdough, so I don't care if you post about bears doing it with moose — just post something. And no, MW, a repeat of the Girls with Guns is not acceptable, no matter how desperate we get.
Sample topics included: Zombies, Caliber wars, SHTF scenarios with biker gangs, and yes, of course, the bread and butter topics, hallmark of this forum, finance, gold and the US economy going to hell.
So chop, chop, lets do this in an orderly manner, starting with the highest post count members.
Jarhead, your turn to the bat.
Don't think I forgot about you, Druid. Go ahead, delve into the wonders of socialism.

I'll try and find something you and I disagree on….that seems to provoke a lot of comments.
Come on Druid…don't be gun shy……you can take it and we all love to flame you.
