Has nothing to do with corrections, it's a bunch of radical left wing nuts trying to start an "Arab Spring" in America. Look at their signs, go to their web sites, they want open rebellion in America.

Social Networking Spurs Wall Street Protest
Inspired by events around the world, she drew the analogy to Tahrir Square in Egypt and said the power of the people is leading to change.

The Founding Fathers were all radicals in their time, but it was their pursuit of liberty that made their cause noble. Can it be said of these protestors that their true agenda has a noble end at heart. Are they fighting for liberty and to end the government’s involvement with banks? Or are they using the moment to bring about another form of bondage.

The founding fathers were radicals but they weren't communist radicals.

Wow – these are true snapshots – I don't know how many zillion pictures you had to take to get them… THANKS!!!
That about says it all, the photos were chosen to portray the protesters in the best possible light. Other photos tell a different story.

Is this the kind of rebellion you support?
This “non-violent” Day of Rage, which sounds like a national temper tantrum for spoiled children, also includes a call to arm. To be clear, a “call to arms” is issued prior to or during a violent event. Interesting that no one in the media or law enforcement has addressed this, or taken the time to warn Americans about the lefts call to arms. Monitoring the Twitter account of this group makes it clear that the anarchists, Marxists and collectivists have taken over and the intent of this group is much more than the “non-violence” they preach in between their “call to arms”.
The violent, non-violent revolutionaries have an interesting list of partners, sponsors and groups they identify with. The European Revolution is one such group. They have had a lot of non-violent protests that resulted in large scale riots and destruction of property. Take The Square is part of this revolutionary event and they support/endorse the riots in Greece that have been taking place. The group Occupy Wall Street is also part of this conglomeration of anarchists seeking to unite (which defeats the purpose…kind of like asking the clerk at the book store where the “Self Help” section is) on September 17, 2011. Even the Pro-Islamic leftists are represented, by WL Central (Wikileaks Central) and their irrational demands. The anarchists at the “non-violent” Day of Rage support two other anarchist groups, whom they openly admire, IRC AnonOps and Lulzsecurity .

I agreed with some of what was first stated as the goals, but then I looked at who the sponcers were and decided it was just another group trying to co-opt folks for the "Destroy the constitution/USA/ progressive agenda". I have no desire to be used again.

Yeah, they try and sound mainstream but they are as far left as they come.

I've gone a sea change in my beliefs. I was a rabid conservative and always ready for a debate or argument. I like to think I've become more open to opposing view points in the last year or so. I think I'd still be classified as a conservative/libertarian/constitutionalists. But I was used by the "Country club Republicans" as a soldier and a voting citizen.
I know what I believe in now. I'm for the "maximum freedom for the individual and minimum power of the government". If it doesn't pass that test. I know the side I will take.

There is a heck of a lot of money that is supporting these protests behind the scenes. The money to support just the food and water of 500 people in Manhattan for 2 weeks has to cost quite a bit. Plus the "Students" could lose grants and have the student loans start coming due in 9 months if they signed up for classes and fail to show or keep a C average for the semester.
From what I'm reading it does seem to be picking up steam and additional support. We'll see how long it lasts when the weather turns nasty!

Now THAT doesn't surprise me a bit!! Jarhead: could you provide us with a link on that? I'd like to get some more details. My opinion on this 'Wallstreet Protest' was another Left Wing movement…just like the World Trade Organization protests.

The Hope and Change protest. Leave everything suitably vague and a place to vent your rage.
I have no love of Wall Street I'd love to see the TBTF brought down by any means via consumers and the rule of law.
The TEA party stands for Taxed Enough Already! It's not vague about the mission statement. Sure it's got it's wingnuts. But overall I think the demand is for smaller and a less intrusive government. Plus more individual responsibility and freedom.
I'll probably take a heat round but If I had to pick the Repub ticket it would be Cain/Gingrich among those running today.
- Gingrich is an old hand at DC. He has proven to buck the tide. Newt will never make Prez because of his negatives but he would be a great asset in the Senate as VP.
- Downside both Cain and Newt are from Georgia so no automatics from the regional electoral college votes.
I'm not against Ron Paul. I just find him terribly naive for a man in his 70's on foreign policy. Now if he was treasury secretary…. That would be fun!

Sorry Pete I've lost the original link but here is another if you believe Alex Jones.

Jamie Newt used to be my man but he has proven himself to be another main stream politician. I'm with you on Ron Paul I would love to see him president but his foreign policy would prevent him from ever being elected. I like Cain but I'm afraid he might not do well in the general election….still he's my favorite. To be honest other than Cain and Paul I'm not to crazy about any of them but I feel they are all still head and shoulder above Obumer.
