Basically some Vet's ticked off that a Brother was injured and not afforded aid n comfort at a protest. Right or wrong is not the point, the point is
THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THEIR DUTY TO PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION NOT THE POLITICAL SYSTEM. That could be big big stuff.

I think the young marine was misguided to be at the protest, but he nor anyone should be treated the way he was by the police. The heavy hand of the police will add favor to these protest like nothing else.
As far as being something big….could be. That's what the organizers of these protest counted on from the start. They are looking for riots and anarchy on a nation wide scale as an excuse to step in and declare martial law. We've talked about that technique on this forum since Obama was elected. They may get more than the counted on. Like you say Crabby……this could be …….."BIG BIG STUFF!"

No Gallo I don't think that the Vet's are behind the OWS movement as much as they are angered for one of their own being denied aid and comfort when wounded.
Tea Party, Occupy Party any rally/protest it doesn't matter what the "cause" if it grates on the fraternity of combat Veterans it could turn bad fast. I am not in the Janet Nepolitano "veterans are potential terrorists" camp, but I am saying that if situations like this play out in the media portraying anyone but especially Veterans being engaged in ways that go beyond the tepid ROI our boys patrol under in Iraq and Afghanistan that there is great potential for this to turn to the shooting kind of civil unrest.
Matt Braken wrote a series of novels about a rouge BATFE unit doing some false flag operations that escelated into a civil war. Good read if ya like fiction.
I did not read Castigo Bay but the Trilogy is good.

There are some unanswered questions if this kid was hit by the stuff the protesters were throwing or the from the cops.
This young kid had a ihatetheusmc.com website and got a admistrative discharge from the Corps.
I don't have enough info yet but it seems that this kid may not have been a paragon of military virtue.

SF Gate is reporting that Scott Olsen was not hit by the police, though things are still not 100% clear. The police are saying that the 3 officers identified by the #OWS crowd as the shooters were not issued the weapon to shoot a Tear gas or flash bang cannisters.
I don't the police in this country get an automatic pass in believing their "investigations". But I do find it somewhat odd on how quickly this story fell off the media radar and how #OWS seems to have dropped this issue.
Scott Olsen can now text on his phone but still has not spoken. That does seem a little odd for a brain injury. But I'm no expert. I will update as I get more info
