Yea, that was a great piece. I played it twice. But, obviously the what ifs are actually fact.

I know…how can people buy into this s**t? It's not just evil people with evil intentions, there are a lot of good honest people who believe this nonsense. They think we need these laws to protect us from terrorists, but who will protect us from the laws?

I am wondering about avoiding detection while on foot by others on foot or by drones overhead.

Oh, well i'd go with the mylar emergency blanket then, but I hate to tell you the newest thermal imaging tech has thermal tracing, which tracks thermal residue (what you leave behind, i.e. your thermal trail) This type of scanning is accurate to something like 1/10th degree. Maybe greater, after all the best tech is top secret.

I go with gray man, hide in the open. Its hard now that everybody here already has quite an electronic record. But, avoiding attention in public and in private is key.

British government vehicles sweep city streets scanning and recording power use, communications irregularities (unauthorized frequencies, high voltage transmitters) and suspicious thermal images ALL on a house to house basis. Some Brittons claim that the vehicles (and aircraft) monitor speech (not over the phone but person to person speech) for "keywords".

Listen, the government has the power and the legal authority and the technology already, all it is missing is the proper atmosphere/ environment (READ: excuse) to implement and execute.

You know the answer to that. Look at 1933-1945 Deutschland. The german people were told to support the military, support the wars, support the Fuhrer.

Many Germans new about the conc. camps -the smeall alone was a giveaway- but overlooked or even tacetly supported the program of final solution. The ones's that didnt know, didnt care to find out when hints of the atrocities found its way to them.

Some are sheep, some are wolves, some are sheepdogs. You can ready the Bible and see it too.

I don't know about others but as I see it nothing has really changed for me even if they changed the law. It does show me that the PTBs have chosen a side be it the power elites or the people.

I don't really blame the the German people any more as I've seen levels of denial in the USA, and even in my own family that boggle my mind.

I have been scouring history to see if a population has had time to prepare and how they did in the long run. I do think I have found a group from the Danube area in the late Middle Ages/early Renaissance period. I'm doing additional research to gather more info.

Don't stand in front of the tank you will get squished. Always think about logistics if the Military has no fuel, food or ammo how can it fight? It can't make these things for themselves, they must have a supporting population to make these thing for them or they must resort to pillaging and theft. Ask yourself where are those basics made?

The military is on the chopping block for big cuts in 2013 and already folks are being released. It looks like Iraqi vets will be treated by the PTBs with the disdain of Nam vets. No victory and no parades, as Kipling said" It's Tommy this and Tommy that and chuck him out the brute!  But it's a thin red line of heroes when the guns begin to shoot".

We have also had several stories that the military has been infiltrated by gang members and they are getting weapons, ammo and artillery. I don't know about other units but as a signal puke I was put on lock down if a pistol or nvgs (night vision goggles) were not turned in at the end of training and every round of M16 ammo was accounted for at the range. I doubt that gun bunnies are less vigilant than a bunch of signal folks. Heck 2nd LT forgot his weapon on top of a Hum-v and we walked shoulder to shoulder over 5 miles to find that damn M-16.

I'm not saying the military is a paragons of all virtues. They are not,  they are just people, some great, most good, some bad and some evil. Just like any group of people.

I'm sure this may move me higher on the list but I will be asking state and local political critters if they intend to allow any citizens of Idaho to be taken in the night to the local FEMA camp and held without trial or charges. If they dodge the question or make excuses I will work to get them fired and replaced.

I don't want this fight, but I will to support the Constitution.  As one fellow said long ago "If this be treason, make the most of it." You may have heard of him, a chap by the name of Patrick Henry.

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.” JFK

The PTBs have pushed me into a corner.  While they may come and take me away it sure will not be quietly and I don't care if the wear suits or riot gear and what they call themselves. I will defend myself in my home and person like I would from any other criminal.

A couple points, Jamie: 1) Obama said in his inaugural speech or soon thereafter he wanted a civilian force as well trained equipped as the military; 2) Homeland security is the focal point of most of these new powers, laws and funding. 3) Hitler didnt use the military, he had his brownshirts which by all historical accounts were ranks of unemployed, gang members, petty criminals, street urchins, homosexuals and military rejects.

Defund the military, break its back, thin it out, then bring in your real foot soldiers.

I have a book by Gustave Le Bon,"The Crowd" a study of the people, that really helps explain this phenomenon. Good book….slow read.

i hope with the outstanding Public relations program of DHS and TSA /sarc folks will be a little more prone to resist

I know that blogs left and right are pissed about NDAA and SOPA.

The PTBs have shown the contempt the hold the American public. I think they are moving to soon out of fear that folks are waking up on both sides. I think the reason OWS got so much support from the elites is that it was supposed to counter the TEA party. But OWS was not ready for prime time. I think a big tell will be if OWS can get going again in the spring.

OWS folks had a free ride from the media, tons of money, free food and donations for everything. The TEA party had to pay their own way and still came up with much bigger numbers. Say what you will about Glenn Beck I bet the PTBs crapped their pants to see that many folks on the Mall and most paid their own way.

Welcome to the resistance my friends. Will you be silenced? Will you cower in fear? Or will you go underground? Will you support those that fight?

I've made my choice and by default mostly. I can't walk back what I've been saying for at least a couple of years.  I'm not brave I'm just caught/cornered. I will not decry those that go underground and get quiet. That's simply not an option for me. But since I've already blown OPSEC I may as well play the game to the end.

Local Cops Ready for War With Homeland Security-Funded Military Weapons

A decade of billions in spending in the name of homeland security has armed local police departments with military-style equipment and a new commando mentality.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/a…..apons.html

“The argument for up-armoring is always based on the least likely of terrorist scenarios,” says Mark Randol, a former terrorism expert at the Congressional Research Service, the nonpartisan research arm of Congress. “Anyone can get a gun and shoot up stuff. No amount of SWAT equipment can stop that.”

I posted a message about this a while back, i had wrote a oped article for my local paper about the (never got published, no response at all in fact) militarizing of "peace officers" especially sheriffs departments.

I just hope somehow when the rubber meets the road, the police will join with citizen militia to uphold the constitution against aggressive, federal instigators.

I will not decry those that go underground and get quiet.

I prefer to remain as gray as possible.  Obey the law, pay my taxes, stay below the radar, and vote in every election.  I hope the battles (whether a terrorist attack, or some nutcase unhappy about breaking up with his girlfriend) don't come anywhere near me.  Avoiding trouble by avoiding risky situations has been what I've done all of my life, and it's worked for me so far.

But I realize life involves taking calculated risks in whatever we do, so I respect everyones' decisions in this regard.

Take calculated risks

Plan Ahead
