Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) says President Obama's continued use of the executive order "brings the modern presidency dangerously close to an elective dictatorship."

"That is arrogant," Paul said of Obama frequently using the executive order function as of late. "It is flaunting the Constitution and the whole principle of how we’re supposed to operate. The idea they can just do this and take over the legislative function and brag about it — and Congress does nothing and the courts do nothing about it, it's very, very bad."

"He's dictatorial, is what he is," Rep. Paul said before the end of the interview.

Is this just hyperbole or does Ron Paul actually believe as some of us do?

This is how it will happen:

In 2012 Obama cashes-in Biden for Hillary on the ticket.  Obama wins by a land slide.  In following 4 years, the executive dwarfs the legislative and judicial branches thus paving the way for Hillary to win the elections of 2016.  After 12 years of democrats in power peddling class warfare and entitlements, Hillary wins re-election in 2020 ushered by a new brain washed generation of voters, currently 5 and 6 years old.  By this time, gun ownership is limited to an unloaded 4" revolver and/or single shot shotgun, of course disassembled and locked separately from the ammo.  Close to the 2024 elections, Hillary suspends the constitution on account of a national emergency and cancels elections.  What few political dissidents remain in congress and the bench are arrested.  Hillary stays in power awaiting new elections against a straw-man candidate from a recently created party formed by the pseudo opposition.

I see it happening somewhat differently!

Iran and Isreal have a nuke exchange, Russia sits and condemns yet now they are the leading oil producer in the world. USA sits out the exchange a probably tries to protect Saudi Arabia and Europe while Rusia and China play the "Great Game" ala Britain and Russia did in the 1800's. Chisa and Russia seem to be allies like Russia and Germany were in 1939

A third party canidate splits the vote and Obama wins with less than 50% ala Bill Clinton. Biden resigns or is made the fall guy for the Obama administration and Hillary is tapped as replacement VP. 22 nd ammendment is revoked so president can hold more than 2 terms, but Obama is gone and Hillary takes over as the Dem nominee. I think the PTBs wil move to a democracy or direct elections by popular vote.

Just a thought how it plays out.

Iran and Isreal have a nuke exchange,

That will be difficult seeing how Iran has no nuclear weapons. Hell, people they have to ship their crude overseas to get it refined to gasoline. You really think they'll be able to develop, let alone field more even a handful of small nukes??? Israel has hundreds, plus an advanced airforce and anti-ballistic missile systems up and down its borders. Not to mention an intelligence service that makes the CIA look silly.

And another thing, please don't tell me any of you guys trust the IAEA (int'l atomic energy agency) to give valid reports? Since when does 'our side' buy into anything an international agency says??? Let alone our government's intelligence agencies? They all pay homage to the banksters and elite power structure. Wake up!!!

Right…that means that Iran is much farther along with their nukes than these clowns admit. MW go back to sleep,I'll set an alarm for you….it will be a loud boom in the Mid East.

Hope you don't mind my moving this post MW

Iran was once a great proud country that has been hijacked by Mullahs who seek the destruction not only of Israel but much of the world in order to hasten the return of the 12th Iman.

MW

You mean the Mullahs that took power by overthrowing the CIA's "Shah" after the CIA and Mi6 coup d'etat of the democratically elected Iranian government in 1953? The mullahs had popular support because they were toppling a U.S./UK puppet regime. Jarhead, you really must look into the past a little more.

No these Mullahs

In 2009, demonstrators filled the streets of Iran, denouncing the regime and crying out for freedom.  It was a glorious opportunity for the leader of the free world to demonstrate his support for free people everywhere and strike a decisive blow against the bloody regime that had considered itself at war with the United States for three decades.

The government of Iran is refusing to return the dead bodies of five young people to their families for burial. All five were hanged on Sunday in notorious Evin prison in Tehran.

The expected trial of the reformist leaders and the call for trial of Mousavi is formally transforming the Islamic Republic into a naked dictatorship, with no pretenses for being one of the few centers of tolerance in the Muslim world for the loyal opposition.

Moved some morerofl

MW

Furthermore,  Iran with a few suitcase nukes could do some major damage, but Israel's retaliation would be a game-ending move. Iran, Persia as a region would be gone, and for centuries. Whereas Jews worlwide would not be extinct. In fact, there are more Jews living abroad than in the holy land, and most of them right here in the U.S.

Almost a decade ago, Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, a former president whom many diplomats consider a pragmatist — declared, “The use of an atomic bomb against Israel would totally destroy Israel, while the same against the Islamic world would only cause damage. Such a scenario is not inconceivable.” On Feb. 14, 2005, Ayatollah Mohammad Baqer Kharrazi, the head of Iranian Hezbollah, declared, “We are able to produce atomic bombs and we will do that.”

MW-

isreal may have hundreds of nukes but iran only needs two maybe three. If jerusalem, tehran and maybe one other major town is nuked, isreal, as a nation state, ceases to exist.

Puppet regime? OK maybe, but the alternitive was the mullahs whose decendants are now in charge and trying to murder us. Maybe the people in charge back then put a puppet in charge because the alternative WOULD murder us.

They do NOT have to do ANYTHING diffinitive to win and bring about the 12th imam.  All they need do is cause disruption and chaos. WE have to defeat them absolutly in order to stop them. The burden is on us.

Almost a decade ago

Go back farther than that to find the root cause. 1953 for Iran. 1988 for Iraq (and 1990 when we gave Saddam the green light to invade Kuwait). You guys are lost in a dream world.

The only way I would back down from my stance on this issue is if Druid agreed with me, then I'd know I was wrong.

I am able to produce nukes too, and if I nuke the Jarhead household, Jarhead will be destroyed but if the Winters household is nukes, it will only be damaged.

There, now I need to be sanctioned, invaded and bombed. Don't forget, the United States is the only country who has atomically annhilated a foe in time of war. And that was not defense either.

When will you ostriches look up and see the truth, the U.S. empire manipulates world events to expand its hegemony and consolidate its power as lone superpower. Iran is not a threat unless we provoke it. Israel is more of a threat to us than Iran. They have weapons that can reach the US and do major damage. Stop laughing while I qualify that… Iran is as likely to nuke Israel as Israel is to nuke the U.S.

What is that saying, an armed society is a polite society?   Does that not apply to countries with nukes, even ones run by religious fanatics?

There is a good chance that if Israel attacks Iran it could be the spark that lights WWIII.  Russia already warned against such actions.  Israel/US would basically be messing with Russia's supplier of oil and buyer of nuclear technology.  Perhaps the same could be said about China.

So I'd say to Israel to simmer down, baby.  Iran can talk smack all day long, but I think they know better than to attack Israel no matter how much they want the 12th Iman's return.  Hell a single US carrier in the Persian Gulf could turn Iran into a big crater.

But these things are out of our hands no matter how much we'd like to think our government listens to us.

There is a very good chance this will start WWIII. It doesn't matter if you believe Iran won't attack Israel, it doesn't matter if MW believes Iran won't attack. The only thing that matters is what Israel believes. Israel feels isolated and the more people who explain they have nothing to worry about, the more isolated they will feel.

The problem with you and MW is that you look at this with logic. Logic has nothing to do with it. The Mullahs believe death brings them everything they could ever hope for….for eternity, to fail to act brings only shame. They tell us this every day but it is so foreign  to our way of thinking we refuse to believe them choosing instead to believe they are posturing.

Ron Paul….gotta love himron-paul

At last night's debate,Jim Cramer, in his sweaty, too-close-at-the-party way, asked Ron Paul the following question:

I'm on the frontlines of the stock market. We were down 400 points today. We're not going to be done going down if this keeps going on, if Italy keeps — the rates keep going up. Surely you must recognize that this is a moment-to-moment situation for people who have 401(k)s and IRAs on the line and you wouldn't just let it fail, just go away and take our banking system with it?

Paul, totally unruffled by the "gotcha" question, answered directly from his convictions.

No, you have to let it — you have to let it liquidate. We've had — we took 40 years to build up this worldwide debt. We're in a debt crisis never seen before in our history. The sovereign debt of this world is equal to the GDP, as ours is in this country. If you prop it up, you'll do exactly what we did in the depression, prolong the agony. If you do — if you prop it up, you do what Japan has done for 20 years…

More on the Obamy dictatorship …

Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, told Fox News that Republicans will have to "keep pushing" the administration to turn over documents.

"They appear to think that as long as they say everything is okay, it's okay," he said.

Barton also disputed the contention that the decision was merit-based.

No MW it started with Mohamed. More precisley with his death. Then Saladin pushed it forward. The dates you quote were just things that help push it along. Jarhead is correct in his above statement. And how the h3ll do you NOT consider the dropping of the nukes on Japan defensive? THEY attacked us first. Everything after that is defensive.

Wrong. I have talked with Al Qaeda leaders in person through prison bars… (a taliban spokesman, an al qaeda logistics man and a minor Bahranian prince to name a few). I have listened in to their conversations through interpreters, observed interrogations and found out the truth of the matter. Pay attention to my next statement:

This religious stuff is a front that the hierarchy use to control and manipulate followers.

The mullahs are from the same stock. They believe more in maintaining power than fulfilling scriptural prophecy. Its the taliban minions and suicide bomber level people that are the believers. Same with the crusades, it was the low level grunts that believed they were getting absolution and salvation by participating in the holy wars. The nobility were in for money, land, power and prestige. As was the pope, Sultans, Kalifah's, etc..

The paramount concern for people in power, especially entrenched powers, is maintaining and expanding that power. The nuke attack as stated previously will never materialize, not preimptively. Of course a cornered animal does what is in its nature. Human nature does not change.

Nukes are a pass to the major leagues. Until a country gets nukes and the capacity to deploy them, they are at the mercy of other countries. Look at the relationship between Pakistan and India. It's not friendly but stable. Would the US have invaded Iraq if it had nukes, even just short range ones that could reach Israel? Would the UN have gone after Kadafi if Lybia had nukes?

Nukes for a country like Iran are a status symbol, a leave me the F alone rattler that warns the world don't thread on me.
