Due to the higher than anticipated level of GTA member activity, I decided to change up the ranking system a bit. At the rate we were going, every member was going to be at the max. rank in no time.  I'll have to expand the ranking system as GTA grows, but, for now, here are the current ranks:

0-4                   Seedling

5-49                 Fresh Fruit

50-99               Ripe Apple

100-499           Core Member

500-999           Bronze Apple

1000-1499        Silver Apple

1500-1999       Golden Apple

2000- ?            ?????

I'm still thinking about where to go after 'Golden Apple', but I have a few ideas. 'Ace of Apples' will still be in there somewhere, but further down the road. Anyway, that's the latest on the rankings. Sorry to those of you who got 'demoted'. I'm sure your reputations will survive this minor setback.

Sorry Pete. I know that's frustrating. Maybe I'll make you an honorary Golden Apple for a little while in order to give you a taste of the good life.

2000 posts = the apple. Being in the post-rich 1% of GTA, Jarhead's post numbers will be taken from him and evenly distributed to the members that I like the most so that they can rise in the ranks without having to go through the trouble of posting intelligent thoughts. Jarhead will become a seedling again, but his sacrifice will help the less fortunate members feel good about themselves. This will only encourage Jarhead to increase his post rate so that he may once again be given the opportunity to help his fellow members for the greater good of the GTA community. After all, what better way to motivate the charitable than forced charity?
