The oven arrived 2 days earlier than projected. It was well packaged and complete on parts. I didn't have time for a test today but I'll have a couple of sunny and partly sunny days this next to see how it does.

They included a little cookbook and additional instructions  to make a "Hot Box" and what looks very close to a rocket stove.

I order my oven without the reflector. I'll see if my windshield reflector will work with the oven.

Great…I'll be checking the mail for some home made solar baked cookies rofl

It is a cheaper solar oven and took it out today. Wind was hitting from SE and whisking away heat. I could see how the reflector could make a huge difference in catching winter sunlight at higher latitudes. I'm just south the 45 degree North latitude.

It's January and I'll keep testing but I don't believe it will do great in the winter as a cooker in S.W. Idaho. I do think about April-October it will be okay oven and be a great addition to cooking while RVing.

I still need to play with it a bit and I think I've come up with a fix for the solar angles this far north. I'm hoping to get at least a good water boil test by March and use the solar oven to augment my warm water needs for the "stored water test".

So far it looks like my initial observations are correct. We have had sunny days of about 40-45 degrees F. and calm winds. The oven may get up to 150 degrees at best and I think you need the reflector if you are around the 45th parallel and a higher outside temp. for this oven to cook in the winter. This could be a year round oven for all of you down south without the reflector. I think that could be a big help in the summertime as you wouldn't have to heat up the house using the oven.

I'm still playing with it to get maximum sunlight as I have become very aware of my neighbors trees and my shop blocking sunlight with the sun at a lower angle in winter.

This is a low cost solar oven by design. Kellene in N. Utah has used the Global Sun oven even in winter and had good results, but it also costs twice as much as my Solar oven Sport.
